Year 5’s penultimate week and I’m happy to report it is another winning one. This week saw me touch just over $50,000 profit which also meant just over $400,000 total profit since I started almost 1,800 days ago. Considering my first 500 days betting was a break even period, the past 1,300 have been really good. From where I was sitting in May (-$60,000), I am ecstatic with my current position. Just 7 weeks ago, I had no doubt in my mind this was going to be my first losing year, to me it was just a matter of how bad it would be. But off the back of 7 straight winning weeks the year has turned around and a healthy profit will be made. As always the Sunday bets pegged back a lot of the profit made, but I’ll happily take small profits each week over the wild swings we have seen this year.

We start as always with Sportpunter. A very quiet week with just the two bets on AFL, none on the Super 15 and only NRL and MLB with significant turnover. While the AFL only had two bets, it still produced $6,250 profit, the NRL managed a small $600 profit but most bets only just squeaked home. That meant losses for Dailyprofit members as we advise betting on the line for these games. MLB lost $300, but 2 games that looked like winners until the 9th would have made it a +$10,000 week. Dailyprofit members had their first losing week in a while.

There really isn’t much else to report on. Jason Kelly lost $450 on the Golf, but apart from that the only other bets were my own personal ones that lost $1,000.

One more week to go in my 5th year and while the results are nowhere near what I hoped for, I’m still happy with where I am. Any type of profit with betting is an extremely difficult task and to have managed it for 5 years on the trot gives me a lot of faith in future profits. I’m hoping that this winning streak continues and I can end the year over $50,000 in profit. I just had a look at each years profit and from year 1-4 it has gone as follows. +$37,427.19, +$78,656.53, +71,438.37, and +$160,002.75. So this year could end up being my worst year but I know I made a few mistakes this year which (hopefully) will not be repeated in year 6.
