Feb 15th – Feb 21st +$4,227.86
Something a bit different this week. If you have been a regular reader of this blog for the last year, you will have remembered that I went travelling for 3 months in 2011 and left the betting in the hands of a friend. The total profit went from around $40,000 all the way down to -$8,000 before coming back to $37,000 when I returned home. It was a roller-coaster ride I am thankful I did not have to sit through.
During my trip, I wanted to do something that would be a good reminder of my travels. So I put my two loves together (Soccer and Travel), to create a little video. I hope you enjoy it.
Now onto this weeks betting, and another nice profit. As i’ve mentioned a few times, I think my portfolio is at that stage where I should expect some pretty constant profit each month and so far that is what has been happening. I’ve added a new service to the portfolio this week and so far things look good for Form Lab Black.
Tennis did poorly this week. WTA has been poor all year but just like last year, it will have its losing and winning runs. NBL H2H again lost and Totals made a bit of profit. I know which one is the winner out of these two, I just cant bring myself to stop betting the H2H until the end of the season. NBA Totals sucked again, but was compensated by the nice H2H win. Football Investor had an amazing week and including all soccer models, the profit for them this week was over $6,000.
So the end of another nice week. I really hope this consistent form can continue.

Awesome video, very clever. Blog is interesting to read as always and nice to see a couple of back to back profits. Bit of a random question but I recall you mentioning Frequent Flyer points in the past and presumably that helped out a lot towards your trip. Did the bank/qantas never question the fact that the purchases are into betting accounts as opposed to actual purchases? Certainly is a good way to deposit the funds to rack up the points simultaneously.
Hi Dean,
Thanks for the comment. Yep, I used most of my points to pay for the flights around the world. Makes the trip so much cheaper.
With regards to the FF points, I have now changed banks as I was using Commbank and they changed their terms to say that deposits into sportsbooks are classified as cash advances, which means a big fee for each deposit and no FF points. When I called them, they said it was a government order to stop people using credit to bet with. We all know how badly viewed gambling is in the general population, so the government introduces these bills to appease the majority.
I moved my banking to the ANZ and so far they have not changed their policy to call deposits to sportsbooks as cash advances, but I know that it’s only a matter of time. But while they still accept them I’m happy to keep getting the points.
