July 24th – July 30th -$9,438.21
Just arrived in London and very disappointed with the weeks results. Everything lost money this week. Don’t have much time so will make it a short post.
ATP lost $3,600. AFL finally had a bad week and lost $2,800. OTP NRL made a tiny $100 loss. MLB continues its pathetic form and after being up well over $25,000 only a month or so ago, I am now into negative territory for the season. This week lost another $2,500 on H2H. Of course as I am not following totals on CRDOGS suggestion, that went amazing again this week.
Two small losses with Nick’s picks and I am having doubts about the service already. He seems to change his spreadsheet if better odds come out and the bookmakers he uses are ones no one can get a decent amount on. I will send him an email this week to see what he says. It is after all a free service, but if the prices are wrong (and it seems that way) then I won’t be wasting more of my money.
Hoping for a return to form this week. Need to kick this thing into gear and start making some profit to pay for this trip.
Total loss for the week was $9,438.21

i dont think the prices are achievable with nickspicks. and quite a few bets that are not good value.. ie first round leader bets… not sure if he has ever had 1 come in. do keep your loyal blog readers updated.
but with golf, it is definetly the long game with this one, you can go months without a winner… and you need to stake much lower than you realise unless you have Gareth Bale sized bank account.
i was doing similar last season on 3-3 scoreline on the footy and you can get long dry runs but the paydirt surely makes up for it.. 😉

Hey LittleAL,
Well so far they don’t seem to be. If I was able to use Ladbrokes and the other UK bookies then maybe. On betfair I can get close and better on the winners market, but the place market is much worse and only 5 places, if any bookie offers 6 places then he chooses them.
I’m not too concerned about the long losing runs, I was negative for 8 straight months and after betting horse racing understand that these longer price bets can go for months without a winner.
Would love to hear about the 3-3 strategy 🙂
perhaps best to just stick to the winners market on the golf?
the value is more likely there than EW i would imagine.
i quit while i was ahead on the 3-3 strategy 😉
Great idea.
If I had done that last year it would have been 145 units profit compared to the 240 for ew betting. So the place bet does return a fair bit of profit and flattens out the varience.
But I can deal with very long losing runs and the hassle of trying to get place bets on, the terrible odds and for many other factors, I think i’ll just go with the Win bets.
Thanks for making my life a little easier.
