Another NBA season is about to start and for the 5th year in a row, Dailyprofit will be advising bets daily. The first bets of the season will be sent to members on the 16th of October.

17/18 Season
Let’s first look at last season’s results. We advise bets on both the head to head and totals.
For the last 2 season we have told members not to bet on the H2H bets as past results and Jonnos analysis has found that they are not beating closing lines and are not profitable.
While telling members not to bet the H2H, we still did track them and add them to our official results. Unlike other tipsters who would simply delete these bets, we add them to the official results.
We recorded odds at the best of 3 bookmakers (Pinnacle, 5Dimes and Betcris). By having more books, members will have achieved better prices and better results.
So with that out of the way, let’s look at both the H2H and Totals results for last season.
H2H
We advised 566 H2H bets at average odds of $3.05. We won 208 of those bets (36.7%) and turned over 622.57 units ($62,257.00). We lost 77.0489 units ($7,704.89) units which is a -12.4% ROI.
As we can see from the graph, it was loss after loss all season. From past history, the H2H model performs well in the first month of the season, before it starts its decline. This season, it was treading water until early February before it went on a horrendous run.
This year we are once again telling members not to bet the H2H and we will also not be adding them to the official results. We know the H2H model is a losing model. We will be giving the SP model data for H2H bets but nothing will be recorded.
Totals
Now onto the good news. Once again the Totals model kicked arse. We placed 554 bets and won 310 (56%) of them. This model consistently beats the Pinnacle closing line and that results in great profits. We turned over 551.20 units ($55,120.00) and won 44.5607 ($4,456.07) at a 8.1% ROI.
From the graph, you can see we got off to an absolute flyer early in the season. I remember there was a day with 9 of the 10 bets winning. We then fluctuated in a 20 unit range for most of the season before pushing higher and ending the season at our highest peak. The season before the profits were spread out evenly throughout the season.
Past 5 years results
Looking at a lot more data, we can see how amazing the NBA Totals have been. With over 1458 recorded bets we have hit at 55.8% and made an incredible 9.7% ROI.

The Dailyprofit SP service is $98 AUD a month and includes all sports (AFL, NRL, NBA, NFL). The NRL and AFL models just finished and the NFL model is currently running.

Tips are sent at 6pm AEST and official odds recording will simply be the best odds at time of release from Sportmarket.
