December starts just like November ended with another huge loss. It was well over $30,000 but I managed to claw some back on Sunday. This has been a horror run with week after week of big losses. It is easier to deal with when you are giving back profits, but it’s never fun. At the start of November I was thinking about a potential $200,000 plus season, now I’m wishing I had stopped betting at the $110k peak and just sat back for the year. Off course we can never know when we are going to reach a new peak or new low, a famous stock market saying is “They don’t ring a bell at the top or the bottom” and that rings true (pun intended) for betting as well.
Not much time to do this weeks video as I managed to kill the Dailyprofit website. But it did force me to move it to a new amazon server, something I have been meaning to do for 6 months, so there was a positive to my stupidity. This blog is next on the list to move as the hosting company was fine when I was getting a few hundred people a day to the blog, but it just can’t handle the current traffic levels. I guess it’s a good problem to have.
This weeks video will talk about
- Weekly losses
- Trading Bases Book review
- My stupidity costing me an easy $1,000
- Charity bets
- Dailyprofit move
We will start this weeks profit and losses with Sportpunter. NBL had another stinker of a week giving back $9,900. The models main flaw it seems is not adapting to new styles of play quickly enough. The hawks at the start of the season said their game plan was going to be to put as many shots up as possible per game, the model consistently is picking the under in these games and the hawks are scoring close to 100 point a game now and clearing the over by 30 points. The NHL has been even worse and lost a further $6,250 this week, it’s just going really badly at the moment. NFL totals lost $400 and the Line bets continue their stellar season with another $5,650 profit. The Line bets are the only shining light at the moment, it’s just a shame I am betting twice as much on the totals which have historically been the better model. NBA Totals gave back another huge chunk of profits this week as well, giving up $6,650 while the Head to Head bets made $2,500. So a shocker of a week for Sportpunter and a combined loss of $15,080.
The Soccer combo model made $600, but the Euro system lost $2,700 and the Draw systems also lost $850. Both Golf tipsters lost a combined $500.
A whole month of big losses takes away all the gains made over that 2 and a half week period while travelling in the UK. No idea if I will be in profit or loss when the 1st of January roles around. Hopefully I see a nice big green number.
Total Loss for the week was $18,580.00
