The last 3 weeks were all losing ones. Happily this week reversed that trend and put me back on track and back above $400,000 profit in total. It was great to be back home and into my old routine. I’m slowly but surely catching up on a big to do list. Articles are being drafted daily and I just need to sit down for a few days and start writing more content. The blog has become a bit stale lately as I concentrate on Dailyprofit and SportingKarma. The new forum has already revealed some potential dodgy tipsters, and there are some really smart people offering great advice to newbies. I hope to spend more time there in the future. The forum is part of a new direction for the blog and combined with a brand new section of the site (coming soon) should offer even more value to you guys.
Onto this weeks profit and we start with the Sportpunter models. The Super 15 comp started this week and I am betting the H2H only. This has produced some great profit over the years and this week started with a $2,100 gain. The S15 model has meant a bit of extra work for me via the Dailyprofit service. A few Australian books offer $2 lines on the Rugby codes and you just cant pass up odds like these. That means I need to produce line bets for Aussie customers and H2H bets for everyone else. I believe both will be profitable, but want to give the most value to everyone. The members following the H2H bets would be a lot happier than those following the Line bets after the first week. Personally I follow the H2H bets because there are max bet issues with the $2 lines. I still bet the Line bets for maximum stakes, but those amounts are small compared to my H2H bets. The NBL has been a massive letdown for me this season. It started so well but has crashed and will record a sizable loss for the season. With a tad over 100 bets a season, this sort of variance is to be expected. This weeks loss was $5,800. The NHL totals made a healthy $3,000.
Onto Soccer and ClubGowi made $800, Football Elite lost $600, and Football Value made $2,000. TFA made a healthy $6,800 and Winabobatoo also contributed $2,900. Football investor also helped out with $2,800 profit. My Personal bets made $400 and backing against tipsters when the odds moved in the other direction generated $1,100 profit. These continue to be much rarer and no conclusion can be made after just 55 bets. But the fact that these price movements are clearly down to one tipsters pick and not related to team news leads me to believe these bets will be very profitable.
So a good welcome home but it seems like another case of treading water for the time being. There have been some massive swings this season, hitting a low of -$53,000 in mid October and a high of $78,000 in mid January. That 3 month period produced $131,000 in profit and I hope for another period like that before the 5th year is over. As always, I can only control a few things and I will continue to find the best possible odds and record the bets and wherever the total ends up is outside of my control.
