January saw the end of the NBA H2H bets and the NFL season. The first week of the new year started with a horrendous run to put me $14,000 down for the month, but the NBA totals and NFL totals did well in the middle of the month to get me back into profit on the 18th of Jan, before dropping back to the eventual $3,710 loss.
In total, January saw turnover of $108,160.00 for a loss of $3,710.00 at -3.43% ROI.
I placed 121 bets over the month and won 59, lost 61, and had 1 refunded.
NBA
At the start of 2018 I had decided to continue on with the NBA H2H bets, but after looking deeper at my past results I decided to stick with the original plan and end them. The few bets I did place in January cost me $1,770 and a total loss for the season of $13,830.00 at -6.6% for the NBA H2H bets.
January was the first losing month for the NBA Totals model. Losing $5,020.00 at -6.4%.
NFL
Even though the Superbowl wasn’t until February, I had placed the bet in January. So this month saw the end of the NFL season. I made $3,080.00 profit at 22.1% ROI in January on the totals.
Overall the NFL season saw a $19,760.00 profit. That was comprised of $22,760.00 profit at 11.8% from the NFL Totals and a $3,000.00 loss at -4.6% from the NFL Line bets.
February will only have the NBA Totals to keep me busy, luckily I have planned a few weeks away during this quiet time. It will give me a chance to recharge the batteries before the NRL starts in early March and the AFL at the end of March. I honestly don’t know how difficult it is going to be to get a bet on these sports this year (well for one sport there might be good news, but you will need to wait for that news).
