Jul 6th – Jul 12th -$10,263.05
As is always the case, a great week is followed by a terrible week. This weeks big loss is 100% due to formbets terrible run. Over $13,000 lost for the week, sure a few horses lost by a neck, but they still lost and I don’t make a profit for near misses. Formbet is now in negative for the year once again, I’m still hoping for that winner paying 50+ to lift me out of this slide. Hopefully it can come this week and be a triple system bet. The other losing model was the MLB which has also been on a slide the last few months. Another $3,000 lost for the week.
AFL backed up it’s brilliant week last week with another steady profit to cover the MLB losses. Tennis also continued it’s impressive run adding $3,000 profit. Both mens and womens are now on par for the year, there have been times where the difference between them has been over $25,000. But I kept the faith in the model and have been rewarded. Total profit from day 1 is now just over $18,000 at 2.44% POT.
Not much else to say with weeks like this, if a few horses had just got up, I could well have been over the $50k mark for the first ever time. But now that mark looks months away once again. I’m really looking forward to these 2 months away, I have cut out much of the fat that was taking up time but not providing profits, so my monkey worker should be quite capable of placing the bets for me. I have created simple videos for him to watch if he ever gets stuck and think I have covered any problems that could potentially arise. This week i’ll be standing over his shoulder as he places all bets and starts all bots. Then when on the trip, I will receive a weekly report on profit per model and nothing more.
10 more days before I leave, The hope is to be back in the $40k zone by then.

Hey mate, I enjoy reading your blog. Keep up the good work.
Just a quick question re FF flyer point accrual you mentioned in your ‘about’ section. Which bank are you with? I was earning upwards of 300k points per annum through sports book deposits but my bank is now treating these transactions as cash advances (although still no interest charged – weird), so no more easy points for me! Are you still able to earn points?

Hi Daniel,
I’m with commbank. I also recently got a woolworths card, they give 1 point for each dollar, but after my first big deposit into a sportsbook I saw a fee of $100, I rang and they said all deposits to sportsbooks are seen as cash advances.
But have been with the commonwealth for quite some time and haven’t had an issue as yet. Would be a pain in the arse if they stopped allowing them to count.
I was thinking of getting a new card at another bank as the max I can earn at the commonwealth on this card is 500,000 points per year. Which bank were you with that stopped counting them?
Thanks for your reply. I’m with St George but looks like I might have to make a move to CommBank soon!
All the best with your punting.
Cheers
Daniel
