The countdown begins with only 2 weeks left in my 5th year of betting. Can I get over that $50,000 profit mark for the year?, or the $400,000 lifetime profit mark? To that I say, who gives a shit. July 1st is just an arbitrary date I started betting on. I can pick out any random 365 day periods and some will have a massive net loss and others a huge net gain. But I will enjoy working from a new spreadsheet, it just feels like a fresh canvas each season. This week was a repeat of the last two, strong early gains and a big let down on Sunday. Nothing much to report this week. I’m really enjoying my sabbatical and am starting to look forward to getting back into some work.
We start as always with Sportpunter. Thank god the NHL season is over. We ended this week down $4,800 and after some wild swings the entire season ended up $13,226.43 at 1.9% ROI. Will do a full review soon. MLB continues to do amazing with another $5,800 profit. Jonno has moved from providing raw percentages to just unit betsizes for this model. It’s now a real pain to bet the exact amounts, especially when prices move, but I understand the reasons behind it and it should mean that this model continues to produce profits for many years to come. AFL made $9,000 but we lost 2 bets with very late goals. I decided against betting on the Rugby this week as the model is not player based and most teams that have no need to win are playing their second string teams. Of course most of the bets won and that cost me over $6,000 profit. The NRL produced $950 profit. Dailyprofit members broke even this week on the Sportpunter plays.
Even though I am no longer following the ClubGowi service, it continues to cost me money. Looking over my spreadsheet, I saw some open bets. These were long term ClubGowi bets that I had yet to settle. They added a $4,600 loss and there is another $1,500 bet on the Golf that will also be a loser. A service losing you money even after you have been kicked out… that’s new.
The only other sport I bet on this week was the Golf. Both tipsters lost a combined $500.
6 straight weeks of profit and hoping to make that 8 to see out the year. I’ve really enjoyed my time off, but ready to tackle some big issues and have 15 articles in the pipeline. I’ll write them all over the next few weeks and start a new schedule of Tuesday updates and Thursday articles. I might also chuck in a Friday funday with a few other ideas I have been tossing up. The last few months have been pretty boring on the site, but things will get exciting again soon.
