Mar 30th – Apr 5th

A third week of profit in a row. AFL once again had a great week with a total profit of $5,000. The MLB season also started this week and the results have been amazing, it has continued the amazing run I had in 2010. This weeks profits were an amazing $7,175. Now if only I had bet on nothing else, then it would have been another amazing week. But as is always the case one sport has let me down this week. That is Horse racing, which had the worst week I have ever had for it. Formbets selections had a terrible run and took back every cent of profit I had made from the service and then some. A week which saw the service lose $4,275. The Yellow and Green is a new offering from Formbet which goes after long shots. We only need one to come in every month or so for a good profit to be achieved. My main concern with Formbet is that he has started playing around with the Back selections, when a service starts playing around with their bread and butter, it really starts to worry me. I will continue with Formbet as I feel it is only a small blip and it will be back into profit by the end of the month.

As I mentioned last week, the end of the Soccer season might be better to stay away from. As I have no hard data from my own bets, I will see out the season with the same size bets and then determine what I will do in the same position next year. Losses for the week were a little under $1,000. A slow week in Tennis resulted in a small gain, which should have been a $2,000 loss, but the bets did not upload properly, so I didn’t bet on last nights WTA tournament, lucky me as they would have ended in a big negative.

I have stopped betting the NBA model as the analysis says there is no edge after 60 games into the season. I have no real idea why this is and don’t really care, but I did bet a few days after 60 games before learning of the analysis which cost me a fair bit. All in all a good first season for NBA totals. $4,400 profit at 3.5% ROI. The best part was it seemed consistent throughout the year, unlike the NHL model which had another poor week.

Next week will see my total amount bet go over $2 million. I will supply my graph and take a look at where I was at $1 million bet and compare the two.
