I was very bullish last week. I had been treading water for the past few months and felt it was time for a nice spike upwards. Sadly the exact opposite happened. A massive loss this week and back to a very small profit for the year. Once again it was Sportpunter who added the biggest loss. It hurts more as it means clients of Dailyprofit are also losing. I surpassed the $5,000,000 bet mark for the year but the return is abysmal. Honestly, I’m just thankful I am in profit still. If I add in my Horse racing results, I’m about evens for the year. There are still over 3 and a half months to go for year 5, so we will wait and see where it takes us.
Sportpunter was a mess this week. The AFL pre-season has usually done fairly well, not this year. A further $6,400 lost this week and I’m glad I’m betting half stakes. The NBL season ended with a hell of a buzzer beater and a hell of a chunk of my bank. The finals took $3,050 more from my bank and ended the season down $21,650. Worse to come was the NHL results. This model has been a standout all year but over the last few months it has been giving a heap of profit back. This week it handed $9,900 back. I remember the same thing happening last season, where it went on a terrible run but finished the season strongly. The Rugby made a nice $2,500 profit but the NRL started terribly with a $3,850 loss. The player based model should correct itself pretty quickly though. Normally I rely on the Sportpunter models to save me from the other tipsters losses, I’m sure it will turn around soon.
ClubGowi made $1,100, FB Elite lost $850, Football Value made $1,200 and TFA lost $4,500. Winabobatoo lost $1,150 and Football Investor lost $1,000. My personal bets made $3,750.
Just a quick roundup this week as I am run off my feet with other work. We had a great response to my sales letter the other day and 30 new members joined the service, which results in me having to answer the same questions numerous times. Why I have not created a FAQ is beyond me. But the site is being worked on every day now and improvements are being made. Now we just need the Sportpunter picks to start hitting their straps. Now’s a perfect time to sign up, right after a lousy run :).
I’ll continue to do what I have always done, place the bets and get the best possible odds. Eventually we will have another one of those positive $40,000 weeks followed by another few all in succession.. haha, a man can dream can’t he.
