I also have to make a decision on windows. I bet smaller sit there with all the windows open and get the odds except with mike lindley bets. I really like the articles and mike’s attitude but……

You probably answered this before: what do you do when you have opposite bets by different services on the same event? Stay with the first one you took or take both ?

  3. Steve says:

Very rare with the services I follow, but now I usually take Football Investor over TFA over Winabob over Gowi.

    Hey Steve,

I’ve done some work on the Winabob stuff and I think you need to look at the service in a different way. I’ll send you an email about it or maybe post on the dailyprofit forum, but I’ve now had 5 winning sets of selections in a row. Which is great after starting off betting the same system as you and getting smashed. The Mike Lindley bets on the other hand, you can’t look at them any other way than as a tip to back them.

Well it already happened with FI and GOWI last weekend (and GOWI won his).
And for me it happened on NBA already with two guys I follow. The problem is that in football, depending on what side you are betting, you might have the risk of losing both,
Still trying to figure out what to do about it. I guess taking both is a little silly so probably should stay with who sent earlier…

It’s possible for both sides to have value if there is a big shift in odds before the game. I usually don’t bet the game at all when that happens unless the odds drift a ton in one direction.

  7. Mariano says:

Well, normally the move is not that huge in major football leagues.
How do you decide not to bet the game at all if you get the bets from the tipsters separated by, let’s say, 24-48 hrs?

  8. Ilia Baskin says:

    Yea, normally it’s not.
I try my best to bet all tips asap so when that happens I just stick with the first bet, but I’m not too happy about it. Especially if its odds drifted since I bet it.
No way around this I’m afraid.

Can you link me to your Argentine blog/service ?

  10. Mariano says:

Google Argentina Previews and you will find it (can’t put links here I think).

“Winabobatoo recorded the win at a laughable $3.50” – I subscribe to Winabob and find the odds quoted are totally achievable.

Sure there are occasions when it has dropped slightly, but in equally the same measure (or more often) I achieve greater odds than advised.

If you miss the odds due to being late it is not the fault of the tipster (who in this case if you read everything he has written), you will see he is a guy of 100% integrity … and I write that not because I know the guy, I am just a paying client, but I do see week in week out totally achievable odds

Tom here from PCG. We’re up over 100 units for the year. We need to stop talking about “what has gone wrong this season.” Gambling is a grind; you need to stop overreacting to streaks and think more in terms of years.

    Thanks…

Who do you bet with? Asian firms or UK bookies?

I would think his odds are more achievable with UK bookies if you can get on with them, which many of us can’t for more than a fiver.

  14. Jeff says:

I’m heavily restricted on 60% of UK bookies, tho can can still manage to get on with some. A lot of my bets with Winabob seem to be on Marathon.

But my objection to the comment was an implication that Winabob were not being honest, whilst in fact if a punter knows the times the bets will be released and knows which bookies are likely to be needed and then still go ahead and sign up to the tipster …. it doesn’t strike me as fair that afterwards the punter complains and implies the tipster is doing something wrong, I suggest the answer lies closer to home.

  15. Steve says:

Hey Jeff, welcome to the blog.
As I have mentioned in previous posts, IF you are betting small and have UK books still open, and are very very quick, then yes, you can get these odds. But these are the top of the market odds and very early prices and therefore move very very quickly and rarely rebound to these levels.

If you can bet with Marathon then I am very surprised as this book is known to close accounts after 1 winning bet. Whatever you are doing to continue betting here, keep doing it for as long as possible.

I’ve never said he was not honest, I have stated those prices are there, but that one or two people can get them before they crash.

I then compare his service to a few others I follow that bet in the same leagues and these guys are not recording those bookies odds and if they did their ROI would be over 20% a season.
