Oct 3rd – Oct 9th – $14,444.51
What a terrible week. I’m pretty sure every single sport lost. Let’s have a quick look at the week and then I’ll explain why I am stopping WTA.
ATP made a small profit but WTA lost another large chunk (-$3,400). The NBL season started and I am betting totals and lines, still trying to figure out my kelly sizes, but this week we lost on both (-$1,800). Horses continued its terrible terrible run (-$1,600) and when subs are up for renewal I won’t be continuing. XX draws lost $2,100, FB Elite lost $3,600, Skeeve lost $3,000, Combi FI made $1,800, FB Analyst lost $1,300. The new E system are the Euro systems from The Football Analyst. I am betting these at $375 per pick. The first week was a disaster, but it’s a long season.
So there we have it. Every single sport contributed to this weeks loss. After 3 full months into my 3rd year and I’m $18,000 down. Usually my profits come in really quick spurts, so I’m hoping for that spurt of a few months of very solid returns that will not only get me back into the black, but well onto my way to $200,000. On the other hand, another week like this and my confidence will be shattered.
WTA is gone. It has been terrible the last few weeks, losing over $11,000. But that’s not why I’m scrapping it. I have been betting it since the start and last month reached over $1,000,000 bet on WTA. The profit was $3,000. For the time and stress invested, it is not worth it, and I do not see things improving with the model. ATP has returned about $30,000 in that same period and I am more then happy with the 3% ROI.

you really need nerves of steel for this game.
good luck for the next week old chap.
Thanks AL, your not wrong though. Massive swings still get on my nerves big time, but it’s the game I’ve chosen and I feel I have invested in some smart minds and I have the math behind me.
However it turns out, it’s been a hell of a ride so far.
Really enjoy reading this blog- i’d like to be able to follow suit one day.
Currently I systematically follow Basketball, NFL, Football and Horse bets. Nothing to your scale but it is early days. As long as each system makes a yearly positive ROI the idea is each the swings in each system should cancel each other out. Of course they’ll be crap weeks like yours last week, but in a week where all make profits the end result is excellent
Hi Stuart, welcome to the blog.
Yep, that’s what I hoped as well, but weeks like this are terrible. Hopefully many more good ones to come.
I started small many years ago. I started with a total bank of $60. So things build up over time if you have an edge.
