September 2016 Monthly Review -$1,450.00
Wow this year has moved fast. It’s already October and we only have 3 months left before we welcome 2017. There is little doubt that 2016 will be my worst betting year ever and I’ll be happy to see the back of it from a betting perspective. Both the NRL and AFL models had just the final left at the start of October and September was the start of the NFL season.
September was nothing to write home about, there was a total of 35 bets over the month and the AFL ended just like it had performed all year, which means it went shit house. Lucky for me, the NFL model started with an almighty bang, and saved me from staring down a $100,000 loss to start Year 7.
As mentioned above, there were a total of 35 bets in September. I won 15, lost 19 and 1 was refunded. Total turnover for the month was $113,230.00 and my loss was $1,450.00 for a negative 1.28% ROI. It’s a relief to only lose such a small amount after months of huge losses.
AFL
13 bets in September and 3 winners. Head to Head bets saw $18,230.00 bet for a $5,310.00 loss and the Line bets saw $31,720.00 bet for a massive $27,840.00 loss. Just 1 win from 7 line bets. In total the AFL in September lost $33,150.00. I will have a full review of the model in the coming weeks, it is not going to be pretty.
NRL
Not much turnover with only 10 bets and $11,670.00 bet for a $60 profit. I won 3 of the 10 bets. This season was as good as the AFL was bad, just a shame I bet so much less on the NRL.
NFL
For the first 3 rounds I was only betting the Line bets and boy did they perform. Of the 12 bets I placed, 9 won and 1 was refunded. In total I bet $51,610.00 and made $31,640.00 profit at 61.31% ROI. Last season NFL made a total profit of $45,270.00 at 6.1% ROI. This season I have lowered my Kelly on totals and increased it on Line bets and now they are both even. I doubt the current run can keep going, but I can hope that the model will cover some of those AFL losses.
