Talk about timing. I had decided to start my combo soccer system this week, and what a week to do it. I was so close to pushing it to next week as I had spent Saturday setting up for Ollie’s 1st birthday party and was spent by the time I got home. Thankfully I had enough energy to work out and place the bets. A 90% return on investment on the 15 bets added a very nice buffer of $19,760. We all need a little luck now and again and I certainly got that this week. It feels good to be back in profit but I know that one bad day will see me back into negative territory. As we saw earlier in my 6th year, even a $40,000 buffer can be wiped out very quickly.
An update on the Madbookie promo, there are now well over 200 of you (or 1 guy with a heap of bowlers) who have taken full advantage of the offer. Remember to get your questions in as I will look to do an interview in the coming weeks. There is just 1 day left to signup, so if you haven’t already, do it now and have funds ready for this weeks Grand Finals.
It’s Ollie’s birthday tomorrow, but it will be you guys getting all the presents. I have something pretty big to announce tomorrow, I’m sure if you follow my twitter account you will know what it is. I’ve never seen anything like this done so am very interested in the response. Come back tomorrow to see what I am blabbing on about.
Onto the weeks results and there were no bets on the AFL. We have just one game left in the season and I will do a review next week. I know it was another winning one, but will have to merge the data over the two spreadsheets to know how well it really did. We had one NRL bet which lost $1,100 and we also just have the final left this season. The MLB made $750. Two sports stop and two take their place, with the NHL and NBA starting in October. The SP models always perform early and die in the butt late in the season.
Dailyprofit members have been going no where the last few weeks. Just treading water waiting for that next wave of profit. With the AFL and NRL ending (two of the best models), we will see an exodus of members, the likes not seen since the bible. But we will continue on with all the American sports. MLB is still going, the first official NFL bets just weeks away and the NHL and NBA also kicking off.
Jason Kelly lost $300 this week but his pick (Stenson) was looking really good until the last round. My own personal bets finally made some profit thanks to Josh’s awesome brownlow picks. I made just under $5,700. I feel so bad for those mug punters who actually paid for Brownlow tips when one of the best in the business was giving them away for free.
Finally the Soccer combo system. I only have purchased Football Investor and Winabobatoo at the moment but will sign up to TFA and Fink Tank this week and do it properly. I am simply betting on any bets that are recommended across multiple tipsters. The stakes are based on how many tipsters agree. So if 2 agree, it’s a $1,000 bet, if 3 agree it’s a $2,000 bet and if all 4 agree it’s a $4,000 bet. I still have not worked out what odds I should use. I can’t use Winabobatoo odds as they are unrealistic, so unrealistic that if Football Investor or TFA used those for recording their odds they would probably show a 20% ROI each season. I really see no point in recording a price 3 days out from the game at UK bookies who will cut the odds within seconds of a small bet. As mentioned above, I started at the perfect time and made $19,750 this week. The swings will be worse than the previous seasons as there will be fewer bets at higher stakes. So as I step onto this rickety old roller-coaster for one more go around, I take a deep breath and hope it doesn’t fall off the rails.
Last week I asked for the start of an incredible upswing and it seems my wish was granted. So we will do the same this week and hope for an exact replica (pretty please).
Total Profit for the week was $24,718.26

Steve – just wondered about the combo system you are using. If A is playing B, two tipsters go for A but one goes for B, do you leave that one alone? Or just play A anyway? Cheers!
I’m making it up as I go along.
But if any tipster backs the other team I will leave the bet alone.
